I got this email yesterday: This is from a done-for-you client I’m working with. He pre-launched his First Sale Blueprint (a custom GPT I built for him). 78 people on the waiting list. 10 people grabbed it. 7 of those grabbed the order bump, which is a 70% take rate (I’m happy with a 30% conversion rate on my bump offers) His bump offer is a sales page custom GPT that I built as well. It’s slick. He also shared that 1 person grabbed his $97 upsell. The funny thing? He told me the upsell page was broken for a few people, and said, “I assume there would’ve been 2-3 more orders on that”. He then ended the email with this… That’s it. I yap about this often… Your first order of business should be to validate an offer. Not lead magnets, funnels, tools, color palettes, brand kits, or the 70-11 things people focus on before they’ve sold a damn thing. My definition of a validated offer: 10 – 15 customers, and 1 – 5 testimonials. Once you have that, everything else gets heaps easier. You reach out to those customers. You get feedback. You make the offer better. You ask for testimonials. Those conversations are filled with gold you can mine for content and future offers. Now here’s the thing most creators miss… Your offer = The sun Your content = The planets Roughly, 80% of your content should connect back to your offer in some way. Not pitching it every post, but related to the problem it solves, the transformation it creates, and the people it’s for. The other 20%? That’s your YOUniverse. Your unique opinions that make people pick a side. Your perspectives that couldn’t have come from anyone else. The lingo only your audience understands (some of mine = Make More Offers, stuff your piggybanks with more of the green stuff, like folding a fitted bedsheet). The stories from your lived experiences that Chat GPT can’t produce, and no competitor can steal. The Uber rides at 2 AM. The flag football games in the Vegas sun. The solo dad mornings before the kids wake up. The living with your parents at 44. The obsession with eggs, Reese peanut better cups, cheeseburgers, pizza and Keith Morrison from Dateline. That 20% is what builds connecting with YOUR people. That 20% makes your content feel like a world they belong to, not just a social feed. Start building your YOUniverse today. It’s one of the best ways to stand out from all the AI slop being spilled all over social these days. YOU GOT THIS 🙌 In your corner, When you’re ready, here are a couple of ways I can help you…
