I dropped a post this morning on Threads (see it here). 364 comments as of writing this email. I shared my opinion on the Jake Paul fight. I did the same last year when he fought Mike Tyson. Last year’s post went even more viral. Here’s what I’ve learned… If you want to go viral, share your opinion on one of these topics:
Polarizing topics work. Current events work even better. Scroll through those comments on my post. I got called some nasty names. Years ago? That would have crippled me. Today? I laughed at them. I even snapped back on a few for fun. You might be wondering…how does pissing people off benefit my business? Here’s the thing: If you can share your opinions AND back them up with conviction… You stand out like a fart in a library. Conviction is s3xy AF. Conviction leads to sales. The biggest benefit of going viral isn’t the reach. It’s the thick skin you develop from the haters in the comments. I worked with a client a few years ago who was a money mindset coach. She had strong opinions against Dave Ramsey. I pushed her to share them more frequently. She went viral. Texted me late one night in tears because of the nasty stuff people said. Over the next month, she went viral a few more times. A month after her first viral post? She was laughing at the nasty comments. She’d developed thick skin in 30 days. Here’s what most people miss: Viral posts rarely lead to sales. But they lead to something worth way more than a handful of sales: Deeper self trust. And that’s worth a lot more than a handful of sales. When you’re ready to build an offer with conviction behind it… YOU GOT THIS 🙌 In your corner, |
