I did something yesterday that I haven’t done in 15 years.
I picked up a golf club, and no, I don’t mean on the Nintendo Switch.
Pops and I hit the course for 9 holes yesterday afternoon.
Quality father-son bonding, right?
Let’s just say if golf balls had feelings, I would have been arrested.
Shanks. Slices. And a majestic hook on the 4th hole that might have taken out someone’s garden gnome.
I’m not saying I suck at golf, but I did hit SIX balls in the water on the 5th hole.
Read that again.
I hit SIX balls in the water on ONE hole.
Sunshine. Fresh air. Not a cloud in sight. Laughs with my Dad.
This is why I do what I do.
I’m not in it for the fancy houses or cars.
The lavish dinners of flashy vacations.
No PTO.
No guilt for “not being productive”.
No boss giving me the side eye for asking for a day off.
I dreamed of this life not that long ago.
Told myself, “I’m gonna play golf with my Dad on a random weekday afternoon”
That day was yesterday.
A new routine was born.
I made one ($18) sale while on the course.
If your version of “freedom” looks a little different…
Like being home for dinner, taking your kid to practice, or never eating lunch at your desk again…
I recorded a YouTube video outline my simple 9-step strategy.
