How ‘Weird’ Becomes Magnetic

I stumbled upon a Threads account the other day.

A 39-year-old millennial. ADHD. No kids.

He openly shares about these things.

He’s built a tribe of 14,000 who show up daily for his posts.

He posts maybe once/day.

His posts are real, raw & resonant

He gets 100s of likes/comments on his posts.

Because he makes people feel SEEN.

If you’re a millennial with no kids… you might feel weird/strange/odd. (My sister is 40 and has shared the judgment she feels because she doesn’t have kids)

This guy turned his “weirdness” into a community of others who share those same 3 traits.

These people don’t feel strange/out of place.

They feel seen.

They feel heard.

They feel at home.

Here’s the takeaway:

We all have 2-3 quirks, traits or what some might view as “flaws” we tend to hide because we’re embarrassed by them.

What if those “weird” quirks are the beacon YOUR people are searching for?

  • Shine your light.
  • Speak your truth.
  • Share your story.

This shows others it’s safe to be themselves.

You’re basically granting them “permission”.

Start sharing those “weird” parts.

That’s how you stop blending in with the dreaded ‘sea of sameness’.

YOU GOT THIS 🙌

In your corner,
Adam
