I deleted Facebook & threads off my pone on Friday. HELLO PRODUCTIVITY!!! Since then:
Turns out when your dopamine isn’t getting zapped every 37 seconds, you rediscover things like silence, presence, and… your own thoughts, which can sometimes be terrifying. These apps aren’t just time sucks. They’re energy vampires. I can’t quit them altogether, as I use them to pay the bills. I have NOT felt behind since Friday. I feel free. Much more focused, productive. My brain has space, again. I do this every few months, as I tend to download one app. Then another. And another. Hoping this time it “sticks” Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is not add more, but remove what’s not serving you. Give it a shot for a few days.
