I hung out at the new house today. No couch. No pictures on the wall. Just empty rooms and an echo (especially in the living room, as it has vaulted ceilings). The gas company came by this afternoon to turn the gas on. Progress. On the way home, I grabbed a modem and router so I’ll have internet tomorrow. More progress. I’m sleeping there for the first time tomorrow night. Not on my bed, though. My bed doesn’t arrive until Thursday. So I’ll be crashing on Ashton’s bed. Here’s the part that feels a little wild… I’m rebuilding from scratch. The only things I own right now are:
That’s it. No couch. No kitchen table. No dresser (for any of us). I just bought the kid’s beds this past weekend. To top it off… My car was totaled last year, so I’m car shopping, too. This ain’t some rock bottom email, calm down. But this season feels quite bare. There’s something powerful about it. When you strip things down to the boring basics, you realize how little you need to kick ass in life. Most think they need “all their ducks in a row”. The “perfect” setup, camera, conditions, timing, FILL-IN-THE-BLANK. I call bullsh*t! There is no such thing as “perfect” conditions. I hear some variation of… “I’ll launch when the funnel is done” (they have 17 half built funnels in their account) “I’ll create an offer once I have x,xxx followers” “I’m gonna start once life slows down, a bit” Life rarely ever slows down. We’re all about the fast, imperfect action. You don’t need a big team, complicated funnels, or 12 hour workdays with the 3 Hour Creator. You need a simple system that works for you. While sleeping, watching The Office reruns for the 37th time or moving into your new place on a Tuesday afternoon. One clear offer. One daily email. Doing less, but better, consistently.
