This morning a lady on Thread asked about marketing on Threads and what strategies are actually converting. I left a comment, and I instantly thought to myself… This is gonna be today’s email. I’m going to expand on the comment, since I was limited on space on Threads. The secret to kickass messaging is not tips, tricks or hacks. It’s CONTRAST. Examples: Old You → New You FITNESS: 6 months ago I was binge eating Cinnamon Toast Crunch at 11:30pm standing in the pantry. Now I meal prep on Sundays & haven’t eaten fast food in 4 months Old Belief → New Belief CREATOR: I used to think I needed 10k followers to make money. Turns out I needed 100 true fans Old Identity → New Identity FITNESS: I used to be the guy who was terrified of taking my shirt off at the beach because I felt like I needed to wear a bra. Now, I’m the guy who takes off his shirt FIRST and doesn’t think twice about it. Old Emotions → New Emotions PARENTING: I used to snap at my kids, and then I would go in their bedroom while they were sleeping and apologize to them (I’ve done this on several occasions). Now, when my daughter spills juice on the couch, I grab a towel instead of losing my shit. Old Results → New Results REAL ESTATE: I used to drive clients around for 6 months hoping one would close. Now, I have a waitlist of buyers who found me from a single piece of content on social. People rarely buy because you taught them something. they buy because you showed them a different version of themselves. They see themselves in your old story (the before) and want your current life (the after). That’s the whole game.
