I see it 237x a day, maybe more. Creators spending weeks (sometimes months) building an offer. Changing the name 37x (I been there) Himming and hawing on the price….$27? $67? Spending an ungodly amount of time in Canva trying to find the perfect shade of blue (been there, too) They they launch it… And hear crickets. Pure devastation (been here, too!) It’s soul crushing, and I speaketh from experience. It’s not because they’re bad or their offer sucks, though. It’s because they skipped the most important step… They built the offer before the demand. Launching an offer without demand if like climbing Everest, barefoot, at night, ith no flashlight and an 85 lb backpack on. You want to have demand for YOUR specific way of doing things. Not just demand in the market, but are people asking you (comments, emails, DMs, etc) how you do XYZ? Demand FIRST. Here’s what the smart Creators do… They share stories about a problem they’ve had. The emotions, the time it took to solve/fix, the screw-ups, what they tried that did not work, what they tried that finally did work, etc. Or… They document their journey in real time on how they’re tackling a problem or learning a new skill. They take their audience on a journey with them, sharing what they’re doing/learning, what’s working/not working, mistakes made, and lessons learned. Their audience sees the natural progression and how they’re solving the problem and/or getting better at said skill. This creates demand for what they’re doing. I do this all the time. I typically don’t create an offer until I get at least a half dozen people asking for how I’m doing XYZ. Then, and only then, do I decide if I’m going to move forward with creating an offer. I did this with Threads Unleashed (with about 800 followers, so audience size doesn’t matter). I did this with the Piss Off Boss Playbook. I kind of did this with the Offer Wizard…I had so many conversations with Creators who were struggling with their offers, that I took it upon myself to create a solution for a glaring problem I saw (vague AF offers). It makes everything a whole lot easier. Most don’t do it as they want to rush right into launching an offer. I joined Threads on May 28, 2024. I launched Threads Unleashed 32 days later. That was NOT the plan. It happened organically, as I had 20+ ask me how I was growing so fast. 32 days is nothing. Of course, there are other ways to create demand (free calls/masterclasses, livestreams, pumping out a volume of content, etc.). The fastest way to create demand? Share your story. Document your journey. Let people watch you solve problems in real time. Share the good AND the bad, though. I find far too many only share the wins, and it doesn’t work nearly as well.
