It wasn’t easy to watch

Oddly enough..

It left me smiling.

On Thursday night, my daughter Ava faced off against the best girl in her Jiu Jitsu class

The instructor’s daughter — a 6 year old who’s been training for a little over 3 years.

Ava’s got about 4 months under her belt.

A David vs Goliath moment.

Ava held her won as they circled around the mat.

The eventually took her down

As she went down, Ava’s face slammed into the mat.

I nervously stood up

And was shocked not to see a bloody nose.

She seemed to be fine, just a bit stunned.

Her instructor (professor, in Jiu Jitsu) asked if she was ok.

She was.

They squared off again.

Ava showed the same aggression this time around.

Eventually, the girl took her down again, and it was over.

As I stood on the sideline, I couldn’t have been more proud.

Her willingness to get back up, and go at it again.

Not for a second did she show an ounce of fear.

In life, you’re going to get punched in the face.

At times…

You may feel like it ain’t fair (hint: life isn’t fair).

Or that you have no chance.

Or, the absolute worst, is to throw in the towel in whatever you’re trying to accomplish.

Don’t fall into that trap.

Just keep going.

Don’t give up on yourself.

I got started in this industry in 2010.

I’d guesstimate 80% of my ideas still fail.

I keep going.

You must have this same mindset.

The YouTube videos, emails from other entrepreneurs, courses, training, coaching, masterminds ain’t gonna do a lick of good without this mindset.

Failing is part of the process.

If failing doesn’t terrify you…
