My sister flew in… and chaos immediately followed 😜

My sister came into town yesterday.

Here we are at the airport:

It’s her bday tomorrow (the big 4-1)

My parents, her and I are going to see The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere tomorrow night.

Should be heaps of fun.

We went to lunch yesterday, then to our Christmas tree lighting service at church last night.

Somewhere between the tree lighting and my mom critiquing the pastor’s shoe choice, it hit me…

Whenever someone you love visits, life forces you to slow down a bit. You pay attention. You’re more present. Not “half pregnant” present, but like fully present.

We had a blast yesterday.

It made me realize how easy it is to forget the simple stuff that puts a smile on my face.

The airport hug. The inside jokes we share from 20+ years ago that no one understands.

I certainly make enough room in my brain for stress & overthinking.

This is a reminder that I need to make more room for that stuff that fuels my soul.

It’s only been about 24 hours, and I’m reminded that slowing down does not mean falling behind. It’s the reminder I needed.

I’ll report back after the show at the Sphere.

I imagine my Mom will provide enough content for the rest of the week.

YOU GOT THIS 🙌

In your corner,
Adam
