I’m working with a client who wanted to write a book. “I’ll challenge you” I said on a call a few weeks back. She picked the first draft date, which is this Tuesday. The only reason this book is being written is because of her. I challenged her, at first. Yet, she challenged me. If it wasn’t for her, I’d likely put it off another week, month, or maybe another year. But because I told her I’d do it… And she’s doing it… I’m showing up, too. I crossed 10,000 words this morning:
It’s rough. It certainly ain’t “ready”. But it’s real. And this whole experience reminded me of something I’ve seen play out over and over again. In business. In parenting. In life. We don’t need more knowledge, planning, inspiration and most certainly not another course. We need someone who believes in us and won’t let us off the hook. Someone to say, “Let’s go!” And then GO! This little book challenge has lit a fire under my ass. So if you’ve been dragging your feet on something lately…. Tell someone. Share it on social. Invite a friend to do it with you. Set a date.
