The kids had their school’s Trunk or Treat last night.

My son went as ‘Ghost Face’.

My daughter went as an Anime character.

I watched them go from car-to-car, and filled their bags with sweet treats.

And yes, I had a *couple* pieces.

Halloween’s a lot like entrepreneurship…

It’s full of masks, costumes and things that try to scare us.

Self doubt
Fear of failure
Fear of success
Imposter syndrome
fear of judgment (#1 dream killer)

Here’s the trick (or treat)…

None of these fears are real.

They’re made up stories your brain tells you to keep you safe.

But safety and success are rarely seen at the party together.

When you realize the people you’re afraid of judging you aren’t watching nearly as closely as you think… the fear fades.

When you realize every “failure” can turn into a lesson you can teach… that fear melts faster than the Reese’s in your kid’s pillowcase.

And when you realize you only need to be one step ahead of the person you’re helping… imposter syndrome disappears quicker than my kids’ Twix, 100 Grand, and Kit Kat “mysteriously” vanishing from their candy bags. 😜

All those monsters live rent-free in your head until you evict them.

Once you do, you’re free to start filling your own piggybank with the green stuff instead of letting fear rob you blind.
