A foolproof strategy to turn lemons into lemonade.
Adam stopping by again….
Car repairs are typically unexpected and always more money than you thought.
The other day, I heard some grinding in my back passenger tire.
I figured it was time to get brakes.
I dropped the car off at the shop this morning.
I expected $200 – $600 in repairs.
Ah…wishful thinking.
I just got off the phone and the repair is $868.
“God’s Plan“, I repeated to myself.
These are never fun to pay.
Ironically (or not), I received a text message this morning.
It was an affiliate payout notification;
I don’t promote this product anymore, but occasionally earn commissions from the 1,000+ Tik Toks I got floating around the interwebs (hint: the power of publishing content online is undeniable, and this is semi-passive income).
How strange it’s just a few dollars from my brake repair?
I get some of you might not be religious, so “God’s Plan” might not be for you.
Here’s another one that I often use as well.
It’s a quote I originally heard from Ed Mylett;
“Life happens FOR you, not TO you”
When life hands me shit sammiches, this is the quote I always go back to.
It’s serves as a constant reminder.
I cannot recommend this practice enough.
Anytime something ain’t going your way, repeat that quote.
It works.
I don’t know what it is, but it works.
Here’s a Tik Tok I came across last night with Jay-Z dropping some wisdom around this very quote.
Give it a try.
It’s been a game changer for me.
