I’m running ads for a client right now. We were paying $25.07 per sale on a $27 product. A slight profit. The goal with advertising isn’t to get rich with the offer you’re advertising. It’s to build a list of customers at break even-ish, then sell them more stuff on the backend. Studies show it’s 5x-12x easier to sell to a current customer over a new prospect. We’re essentially getting paid (just a bit) to build a list of buyers. I launched a new ad set last week. Same ads, just different targeting. We widened the targeting. Now we’re paying $15.84 per sale. Sitting at a $11.16 profit per sale (no upsells on this offer). $9.23 cheaper per customer, just from widening the audience. I assumed the wider targeting was gonna worsen our results. I was wrong (AGAIN!). This little test took us from profiting $1.93 per sale to $11.16 per sale. Never EVER assume when it comes to marketing (organic or paid). Always be testing. I think the sang is something along the lines of… Assuming makes an ass out of you and me, or something like that. YOU GOT THIS 🙌 In your corner, When you’re ready, here are a couple of ways I can help you…
