We lost 29 – 15 today. We’re 0 – 5 on the season. 98 degrees in Las Vegas. Only 5 kids showed up. 5 on the field. No substitutes, or breaks for the kids. Just 5 kids running full speed in the desert heat for an hour. My son Ashton is the only one on the team with any football experience. He caught 2 big 4th down conversions today. And a touchdown. Just 5 weeks ago, during the first game, he was nervous. Hesitant. Waiting to see what others were doing before making any moves. Today, he was the one others were looking to. I watched a 10 year old improve 238% from when we started in early April. That’s the real win. That’s why I’m not too upset about the season. Reminds me a lot of biz.
