I yap about this thing I coined called a “YOUniverse” And I want to share how you can use it to stop blending in with the dreaded ‘sea of sameness’ online.
What’s aYOUniverse?Your YOUniverse is the ecosystem your audience lives in. It’s your beliefs, values, language, and point of view, all orbiting around your mission. When people “enter” your YOUniverse, they immediately feel who you are and what you stand for. It’s how you go from “just another creator” → to “FU*K!!! You read my damn mind!” Why it matters:Without a YOUniverse, your content gets lost in the dreaded ‘sea of sameness’. It might get likes… but Bank of America doesn’t accept likes (trust me, I tried paying the mortgage years ago. They laughed me out of the bank) With a YOUniverse, your content becomes gravity. It pulls the RIGHT people in. And keeps them there. It repels the WRONG people out. Exactly what you want. What’s inside your YOUniverse?
When you get this right:You stop trying to find your audience. They start finding you. You act as a lighthouse. You shine your light…and the right people come to you. Because your YOUniverse gives them something to belong to, not just something to buy from. I created a custom tool for the clients of the 3 Hour Creator to build out their YOUnivserse in onesitting.
This is your homework assignment this weekend, Reader. You don’t need more tactics. Work on the foundation of your messaging. Everything feeds off your YOUniverse. It takes time for your message to “sink in”, and why most don’t do it. They’re addicted to instant gratification. They got that “Microwave Mindset”. Start sharing things from above. Rinse and repeat this next week, and the week after.
