You keep replacing the fuse

I read a post on Facebook this morning.

It was from an entrepreneur who I respect.

We’ve been connected 10+ years. His profile pic is a cartoon character. He’s has a faceless account long before it was cool.

Anywho…

He shared a story about a Toyota from 1955.

A welding robot on the assembly line breaks down mid-cycle.

The supervisor replaces the fuse.

The robot breaks down again the next shift.

Replaces the fuse again.

This goes on and on.

Finally someone stops and asks WHY.

5 times.

• Why did the fuse blow? Overloaded circuit.
• Why? Bearings locked up. No lubrication.
• Why? Oil pump not circulating.
• Why? Pump intake clogged with metal shavings.
• Why? No filter on the pump.

The fix wasn’t a new fuse. It was a $4 filter!

One filter installed permanently. Problem gone forever.
